    GSA Brownfields Redevelopment Initiave
    Innerlock Business Park
    Denver, Colorado

    Office of Property Disposal

    Booz Allen & Hamilton

This brownfields redevelopment effort for an expansive site in Denver, Colorado is an unusual urban iniative for the federal government. Located in an economically depressed neighborhood, the property was sold by the federal government, cleaned up, redeveloped and integrated into the local neighborhood fabric. A broad partnership among all levels of government, citizen groups, and non-profit organizations was required. This example demontrates how the GSA successfully "approaches brownfields redevelopment as a real estate transaction guided by local needs and concerns."
